If so, what do you think?

Not the cheapest available but I think they look good. Prices quoted:

SEL 19 - Defender Steering Guard Galvanised Steel £75.00 + Vat
SEL 20 - Defender Steering Guard 8mm Aluminium £110.00 + Vat
SEL 21 - Defender Steering Guard 10mm Aluminium £130.00 + Vat

Not sure if you can have the Defender versions anodised like you can the Disco ones etc, don't see why you cant? If so, quite fancy a black on on my defender.

Yeah, that occurred to me to! There are such a variety on the market and as I doubt that I'll see an actual example in the flesh before ordering, does anyone have a recommendation?

Tried my hardest for a discount with Safari-Equip but no joy. Quite fancied a black one (actually powder coated) but they charge and extra 20 pounds for that.

I'll take a browse at a few others.

I would buy it from safari-Equip as you get what you pay for he never budges on prices but I think he would give you the powderoating for free as the people they use are only next door to them and they have items going in and out of their everyday so would cost them next to nothing. Hope that helps:)

Craddocks own, about 80 quid but its tough as hell, includes recovery points and they give you d rings for it too.

Isn't that a steel one though? Still cheaper that Safari-Equip once you add the vat but not by a huge amount (75 plus vat for Safari-Equip Steel).

Thanks, yes that helps.

Unless I'm mistaken they don't (or won't) powder coat the Aluminum guards which is probably what I would prefer. They can be anodised but apparently they don't offer anodising as a service - I would have to arrange it myself. Not sure why that's the case as their Disco steering guards are shown anodised? By way of example:

Quite like the idea of one in black whether it be anodised, powder coated or whatever :D
