For those wanting pics, this is how they look flat, they're being bent up tomorrow so will post pics of them then too once they're ready.

3 left of the first batch :D

First one is bent, done a trial fit, modified a couple of bend distances and the rest are getting bent as i write this :D

This is how the first one looks

Is that the one LR sell as the genuine part? If so, it will directly fit, but you will need to drill 4 holes into the bottom of it, and I can supply the relevant rivnuts to fix the guard to (or you can tap the holes, which is more secure).
If its not the LR one, if you can give me the details of the towbar, I should be able to make you a couple of mounting brackets to enable you to fit the guard.

As said, the exhaust is vulnerable, I know a few people who have holes in theirs from rogue rocks and tree stumps!

This is the one I was proposing to get.

I think that it might be a horizontal slide in though, but not seen one in the flesh. I did check the wittier site a while back, but I didn't buy as don't have the V5 yet (so cant get a number plate legally) so can't say if it is vertical or horizontal. The image says it might differ slightly.

Yeah if it's designed like that my guard won't fit as the cross beam is way too high, the side brackets on the hitch I make drop down with the bar lower just above the base of the bumper, so you'd be approx 75mm short with that bar if the design is the same as that.

Would need a definitive image of the model you want for definite compatibility answer.

Yeah I'd need to see the actual mounting beam to see which, if any, would be suitable for my guard.

If getting the towing stuff EC approved wasn't such a pain id be able to provide you with a standard class 3 receiver hitch, and your problems would be solved!

You could supply them for a commercial freebie though?

I could, as long as it would be used off road only.

Law states that any vehicle manufactured after 1998 can only have an EU type approved tow bar fitted. The fine I'd get for supplying them for road vehicles would shut me down!

Top guard delivered today, looks spot, well made and a good finish. Look forward to fitting it next week. Cheers SES88, look forward to hopefully buying some more bits off you in the future
