1992 RRC 3.9 has locked its immobilizer. None of the two keys work on the central locking, have tried batteries etc no luck. Vehicle not started for a few months with battery disconnected, is there a reset/workaround? She just keeps blowing her alarm at me in disgust!

I should add the fob lights up when the button is pressed so there is life from the fob, I think the ecu immobilizer has gone on strike for not being used for sometime?

Yeap she unlocked with the key, but no central locking first of all and then that started working, but now as soon as I unlock it sets the alarm off..... It goes off after about a minute.

Im not in the knowing of the classic but do these have to be re-synced?
Hopefully a fellow classic bus driver will pop up and shed some much needed light on this for you.. sorry for not being much help....

Well it would do, the security system detects voltage drop... also there a time limit on the time limit the alarm can sound by law, normally 30 seconds. Lock with the key but aways unlock with the fob.

So it looks as if the issue is partly solved and u just have to find why the vehicle is immobilised :(

Came back to it after feeding the cows about 45 mins and the immobilizer has unlocked! Success!

So great and now is the time to take it for a long drive will the a/c and heater on full to disperse any moisture, that my be lingering in the electrical stuff under the dash, I'm assuming that the " few months" was with the vehicle parked up in the open. :)

She's relegated to a farm truck, but she needs a light restoration and return to service doing the heavier livestock runs. My D2 and I will probably have to part company as she really needs a new chassis - never seen a Land Rover chassis as bad......
