RRC '86 V8 3.5 clutch kit cost

Im getting quotes of £120 and up ,up lots , on a clutch kit for this motor . Since its a bit of a bugger to do I would like to renew the lot , even though I suspect its only the driven plate thats thin ,so I wouldnt have to go back and do the job again .

had a look round and paddocks come out at a bit over 100 plus delivery ,Island a little less . Anyone know of a heavy duty clutch since its fitted to series/defender as well ? I will already be reinforcing the release arm with a plate as per the 300tdi....any point to the heavy duty release bearing at £50 ? I will be towing some heavy living vans at some point .

I see that the 3.6 and 4.2 kits are cheaper...just how different are they from the 3 and a half ?

Ap racing may be worth a look. Not sure what they offer for 4x4 applications only used in a rwd lt77

why dont you fit 3.9 clutch

You tell me mate ! Im a diesel man.....I have scant experience of the petrol side . I saw that the 3.9 clutch was cheaper but dont know the difference ,if any

will the disco 1 3.9L clutch kit be the same animal ? If so , what other vehicles ? Sometimes it pays to buy the same part but listed for a less prestigious motor .I know that ,years ago ,one could buy the Hella headlights for a BMW as Ford parts for half the money....same Hella unit , different price

Same engine just more torque. Concise as always but he wouldn't suggest it if it didn't fit
