MG changed the setting on the ECU for the ZT+ themselves. As is the norm in modern engine tuning. The ZT before that had about the same power as the Freelander TD4. 110 for the Freelander 115 for the ZT. ZT+ was then remapped for another 15 bhp. So some of that power (say 15bhp) can be got back reliably with one of the lower settings on the box. Any higher and then yes as with all tuning things will start to fail.

you don't say........... what sort of insurance do you get with a parcel sent by royal mail? upto £30 iirc also they quote times of upto 3 weeks to get to the costa del crime, if you wnat it their quick or safe you don't use royal fail! i sent a fishing rod to Wales yesterday it cost £20 but its their now.........and in one piece

anyway onto your mg piece i know basic tuning of 'modern' (not that modern it was designed in the early 90s) is done within the ecu...why do you think rover qroup de-tuned the engine? for added reliability, better emissions and better mpg (my previous point was MG have been part of austin rover/bl/rovergroup long before the bmw got their hooks in to asset strip it!)

if you want to get real power your going to want a better engine! but your limited.......your engine points in the wrong direction

Not asking for loads of power, just a bit extra. I have had a real engine (4.6 300 bhp Rover V8 in a SD1 ;)) pointing the other way as you say. So not expecting loads from this. I am just looking to get around the same as my old ZT.

What i would do i was you mate is: Get intouch with paypal and start a dispute. Then i would gather all corrispondence you have had with this guy including the post from here advertising the box for sale, get a contact and email to his local police station. This guy has obviously defrauded you and has no intention in either getting intouch with you or sending the box. If the police can contact the admin of this site who will be forced to give out his IP address, this inturn will disclose his home address. I can see your issue mate. All you want is corispondence. Your not going to get anywhere on this forum mate. These guys are too small minded to understand your predicament and are only hear to winde you up. They have nothing better to do with themselves
other than continuously going on about people being gay just because they own a certain car. They cant even throw an originol insult that they actually thought about themselves. But then it is easy to puff your chest out from behind a computer screen. Just look at the picture i posted on this thread and you will see what type of people they are. Jeans tucked into socks and leather waiste coats. Quite sad looking individuels who condone theft.

i'm talking REAL engines! cummins 6BT, Chevrolet LS1, ford 302 or 357, dodge 427 or if you want something with some real poke a Rolls Royce meteor

The merlin is better and more powerfull.

Yes the merlin was more powerful but it was an aero engine and the meteor was a detuned merlin that they used in Tanks!

Rover v8 is one of THE most famous engines of all time. Where would the RR classic be without it? Installed in many different factory made vehicles as well. Just have to see the Top gear piece on it, a few years ago.

First thing, I know enough to know Greenie has every intention of ripping this guy off. Thats clear to see. This i feel quite strongly is a crime. You being a lawyer should know this.

Secondly, I havent even mentioned how **** this site is. i think the site in general (especially the freelander section) is pretty good and very informative. It has helped me sort a few problems out on my Freelander. I think i actually slated some of the people on here (mostly non freelander owners who feel the need to try and **** every freelander owner off by throwing childish insults)

Third thing just about proves my last point very well.
