Hi,
Have any one ever made a conversion rom 1,8K engine to a 2 liter Rover 620 turbo engine in the Freelander?
From pictures, the engines look similar, but I haven't had my hands on a T engine, so I don't know.
If it's possible, I'm getting a 620 or similar from UK and brings it home to Norway for conversion...

This is a current topic on another thread.
The T series is a much older engine than the K Series. It's a conventional design that has had most bugs ironed out years ago. It's not a straight swap for the K4 unit as the gearbox bell is a completely different shape and size, this would possibly require an adapter plate. Get round that and you should be half way there. The engine weighs twice as much as the K4 unit so you would need from springs from the diesel Freelander. You will need to sort out the engine harness and engine ECU will need to be programmed to match the alarm ECU. The TC might not work due to the turbo T not having TC fitted, this is an area for experimentation. Good luck keep us informed of you progress.

Thanks folks.
