and get done for criminal damage?

just wear a ski mask and gloves ! they might say hey thats the guy but if your face isnt clear fcuk all the law can do, just dont spit or flick ya fag out at the scene cos they can get DNA from it.

if ya really wanna fcuk their vehicles up break the white ceramic off a sparkplug poke a bit of welding wire through the center hole so its like a conker and flick it at the quarter light of their vehicles it will pop the glass straight away and its quiet, then push a large tin of expanding foam through the hole and stab it with a stanley knife and drop in the vehicle then do the same with a second can and leave the scene. total write off !!!

you could always get some animal hair (not your own pets) rabbit fur is brill then clip it into small bits about 5 m/m long a small bag full will do, simply drop the fur into the fuel tank. the fur sticks to the inisde of the tank blocks the filters and lines. only way to get it sorted is to flush the tank, lines and a total filter change.

you can also use a compass or a very thin screw driver and stab the side wall of all the tyres, this makes them go down very slowly and is a fcuking nuisence untill they find the problem which will mean new tyres !

playing dirty is fun, unless you get caught hahahahahahhaha

i got me a mate who changes his phone every few weeks cos hes a dodgy fcuker and he said ya gotta give a name and address before they sell em to ya ? i got a contract phone.

Noway he's pulling ya leg. just go down the market and find a stall doing mobile phones & unlocking. etc they'll sell ya any simcard yu want and it doen't have to be registered. I have 3 different mobile phone numbers all payg and none are registered.

dunno then ? what about the phone ? do ya have ta give details for them then ? might be ive misunderstood what he was saying ? you gotta forgive me i am stupid :)

Shifty's revenge tips - issue 1.

Dont get mad. Just get even.

Get yourself a can of expanding foam, an aerosol of silicone PTFE spray, and a tube of super glue.
If you dont get any satisfaction from them go back and glue all the locks you can find at the garage (including recovery trucks). It is inconvenient and takes time and money for a lock smith to drill and replace the locks before they can do any more shoddy work. Repeat as necessary.

Spray the windscreens of their motors with the slicone PTFE. It makes the cars undrivable because you cant see where you are going (windscreen washer makes it worse) and it is a bast*rd to clean off.

Get a long tube for the expanding foam (windscreen washer pipe) and fill the back exhaust boxes on any of their cars or recovery trucks. Its impossible to get the foam out and the motors wont start. They will have to change the exhaust boxes to sort it.

Get your mates to book their motors in for major work or services and then dont show. Plays havoc with their appointments which is costing them time and money. After a short while they wont know what is a genuine appointment or a fake.

If they do recovery work ring up and give them false location details. Waste their time and diesel. Offer to pay cash on collection and their greed will win out.

The above are silent but effective. Just be careful of any CCTV.

Childish I know but very satisfying.

Watch this space for isuue 2.

i have to point out that spraying crap on someones windscreen could result in the vehicle being driven blind if it rains ,id hate to be the poor **** that the vehicle runs into because the driver cant see where he is going.

get a reciept , then you will have a list of the work done.
perrhaps the guy didnt fit a new clutch because he didnt have to , perhaps he just charged you for the gearbox removal and the new clutch fork?
how do you know with no reciept?

I recommend landroversuk in mells near frome. Helped me buy my landy, done work on it, feel confident they do the work that is needed at a resonable price.

and for a general mechanics, M J H Autos between semington and Trowbridge, excellent father/son outfit, super helpful, super trustworthy, good value for money

I second landrovers uk. They have a **** hot welder down there too.

They could be a bit of a sod to find if you haven't been there before though.:D

a little tip for garage work use a marker tippex on nuts and bolts when these are undone they should be slightly out of line from your marking if there in the same place you know the work hasnt been carrie out!!

Good point although the false callout / bookings would be excelent revenge!

I know an ace garage in Glastonbury, Somerset called Finlandia Custom who are really helpful and very reasonable. I had a couple of things needing sorting out for my MOT, it worked out at somehting silly like £185 (including the test) which I thaught was a bargain, given my two previous had been around £400 - £500.

When I had temprature problems with my 90 I went to the garage my parents use, and they wanted a full book in, compressions tests and a load of other stuff which wasnt gaurenteed to find the fault. They were such patronising arseholes and even had the cheek to tell me that vehicles get hotter when driven up hills!! - Morons. So instead I went to this garage, and upon getting out the landy the owner came over and popped the bonnet and even let me borrow some of their tools all for free, now thats service!

I had a couple of issues with a local guy who recommended, but soon un-recommended!

I killed a diff at a play day and it was one of the middle cogs which broke - nothing major. They said it'd be a worst case of £250 to fix the diff. I thought it would be a great chance to stick an ARB locker in to replace the broken bits, and avoid the extra repair costs. Locker went in, was billed for the diff repair and locker! Bastards. And it's still not right now cos it keeps loosing air...

Other issue was when the manifold bolts snapped... His little assistant seemed to know they one was already broken but he let that slip cos they never told me last time. Obviously more money to fix it all later than a few quid for a new bolt.

I've spent a fortune on tools and garage kit since, but is probably much less than their costs, and am doing everything myself now. I love it, plus you really get to know what's happening with your motor -- I can't stress enough how valuable this is! You can often spot stuff before it breaks and fix it cheap.

I was putting a new steering damper on and HD steering rods last night and noticed the swivel joint thing is leaking on the driver's side but of course the garage would ignore this and make more money when it fooks properly up or fails the mot.

you live and learn and sometimes its costly..i am taking on all all stuff that i can with the help off a good mate.we have so far replaced rear axle with disc brake axle, replaced handbrake shoes and cable, and last week replaced td enjin with 200 tdi,and like you say im lovin it and it gives you more confidence to have a go at stuff

Im a mechanic and ive seen some bad stuff done the last place i worked for i was there for a week they had a x type jag that they hired for a weekend which i had to take the transfer box out of and swop it for the bosses one which was shagged when i found out the truth i left. Now i work for a great garage a bit steep on the hourly rate but first class workmanship whats needed is done no more no less
