Right to Left hand drive

As the heading says, has anyone got experience as to wether it is feasable to change a 1998 Discovery to left hand drive.
It has been suggested that most bits are moveable to the otherside and obviously you would have to get hold of a left hand drive steering box.
What I need is accurate facts so that I can work out if I should go down this route, or just pay over the top for a lefty.

If you can find me a Cheap left hand drive Disco, then you have a customer.
Prices in the UK are about 40% dearer than right hand drive.

Should have stated that I am looking for a Diesel not a worthless Petrol guzzling monster, and yes I have looked at length, do a search for LHD 4x4s and you will see why I posed my original question.

ermm there's a lot more to it than jist moving the box over, it'll need new foot pedals and a complete dash assembly as well as heater motor etc. Almost nothing is moveable. have you tried one of the MOD clearence places they often have LHD ex military vehicles for sale. Withams had 12 brand new unregistered LHD 110 300tdi defenders for sale a while ago. part of an order that never got paid for probably.

General concensus has always been that it's a an expensive time consuming project that shouldn't be attempted unless you have plenty of time and monay and no other options.
