Reverse issue

Hi guys,
I can engage reverse gear and use it just fine. (Manual gearbox)

However if I depress the clutch whilst still in reverse (so the vehicle is now freewheeling in reverse) I start to get crunching sounds and it rolls with a jerky motion.

I can only describe the feeling as though .... the engine is trying to pull it forwards? That kind of resistance.

Ideas?

Check the reverse detent spring and ball ...

Check your propshaft ujs sounds like a uj locking up to me

its the same detent as all the other gears

if its a feeling and not noise check hand brake shoes arent grabbing on
