Bough the yoke with a non-working sunroof, previous owner said about a flat battery and blown fuse. I pulled the fuse which was fine, i got it going again by leaving it out for a couple of minutes but now its lost it memory.
I have googled and tried about 10 different ways to reset, with one recommendation from BMW?!?! being able to get some sort of auto function going but it still aint right. is there a documented procedure anywhere?

Thanks,
Stewart

I knew it wasn't a Freebie 1 - you can pull a fuse for 20 years and it still won't fix itself !
I can help you set up a F 1 sunroof - that is to remove motor adjust roof to the tilt point and reinstall motor at the right point, but not a F 2 - sorry !

You say you have checked fuse 10in the 'Passenger side Fusebox', when you get it closed have you held the button for 20 seconds or more, also try by disconnect the fuse then reconnect, see if it resets then .

Quote from hand book
If the battery is disconnected, or the power supply is interrupted, whilst the sunroof is partially open it will need to be recalibrated.
Once the battery is reconnected, or the power supply is restored, recalibrate the sunroof as follows:
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Press the front of the sunroof switch, and hold for twenty seconds.
3. After twenty seconds the sunroof will begin to move. Keep the front of the switch pressed until the sunroof has fully opened, then closed.
4. Once the open/close cycle has completed and the sunroof has stopped moving, release the switch.
The sunroof can now be operated as normal.

i did read this but reading again now i see it differently.
with the sunroof in the closed position you want... hold button and it will open and close, memory saved....

i was reading it as "finding" the close position by what it was doing originally ...

thanks guys ill try that tonight.
