How did you get the rear quarter panel off I was told that the whole corner and the side panel had to come off together. How did you seperate the 2 panels.

screwdriver pop the little spot welds off then drill the holes at the bottom out rivet them back one back on again and window sealer at the top to seal it up

Keep the pics coming, :)
my boot floor isn't as bad as yours so I feel reasured that it can be fixed even if it's got a few holes in. I've just got 2 smallish holes on the boot floor at the corners near the passenger doors.

The rear seatbelt bold above the wheelarch, i can actually see my wheel throught the rust holes, its actually a square plate so im just gonna cut it out and put a plate there and remove the rear seatbelts

In the rear wheel arch the plate that will need to be cut out and replaced

One of the landy mags covered the floor replacement, but in my experence a 2inch rust blob normally ends up as a 2x2foot patch, i am going to wait till the shopping falls though onto the axle before i am going to replace it. I bet the nasty MOT man makes me do it before hand, good luck and look forward to your pics

Day 4 just cutting out the rust above the rear passenger wheel arch and the rust spot by the drivers wheel arch will be welding the plates on there tmrw

The next steps
Day 5:

What i have done is i am going to strip all the interior rubbish out apart from the stuff from the front door upwards, and i will be fitting a roll cage inside ill be painting it yellow and the car exterior will be black.

1 side of the interior not painted (i have used hammerite "hammered black" which is actually a very nice colour shines quite well)

the side i have hammerited im really pleased with it, u can see a hole there i am welding the plate on there tmrw then will be hammerited over to match up with the rest

couple little cheeky pics of my second battery i have whipped in, i have wired it off my altenator and not linked in paralell to my other battery so it is now a seperate unit, i will be running all my spotlights and my winch of this one so when or if the battery goes dead ill still be able to start the wagon. ive also wired an extra cable into the cab so i can have an inverter

i have also removed the rear wheel carrier and was a bit rusty underneath so i grinded out the rust and hammerited it, ill wash it and take some better pictures

Thats looking really good Mr Alford :)
Not had the disco long but I really like the look of them setup for offroad.

Got a radiator problem right now but once thats done I'm gonna go back to the interior and strip it down remove the rust and hammerite it (I like the dark green myself).

Great thread gonna keep refering to it.

Do you have a suspension lift on it?

Teshu
