GAve the old girl he yearly wash. must have been a year, judging by how dirty she was.. Anyway 2 thing came of this.

1) I have conclusively and finally identified where the water gets into the boot/storage well in the FL1. Comes down the outside of the glass, past the rubber and into the door. At this point it drops down the door and somehow gets onto the door liner, and drips from there down onto the plastic threshold across the rear of the boot floor, and that then carries it into the boot. The runners around the top and sides of the glass were dry as snuff, perfect. No water ingress there . But puddle along the threshold, and rubbing hand across bottom of door, it was dripping of the inside of the plastic door liner.

So going to try putting a plastic sheet between door liner and door, and a good sealant around this. Probably had one originally but nothing there now. If that don't work, Ill work some sort of plastic gutter idea to direct water of back of liner into door itself.

2) And now the WTF one. Gave the wheel arches a good power wash, as I will be working in and around there again shortly (Bit of a knock lately over bumps, speed ramps and pot holes, thinking a ball joint/drop link etc.) From recent post, I have already been at the back brakes and drivers front. So intending to go round them all again,

Now, first drive after the deep clean, damn thing has the brake light on. Brakes working okay, and most of them have been recently done, so what the f*** could I have done with the power washer....... Light on all yesterday, and I have done a bit of driving...

Anyone ever have this happen before??

Most likely the switch at the pedal has come detached or loose.

Probs nothing to do with pressure washer unless you used it inside !!
Switch is push to break and so if not touching pedal lights will be on.
 
Sorted. It was a Homer Simpson DOOOH moment. I had also taken the Central console out, When refitting it, the usb charger cable had slipped under, and somehow tangled up with the handbrake cable. IT prevented the handbrake from going fully down, just a few mm, but enough to leave the brake light on... Only noticed when I couldn't find the end of the USB cable....
 
Confusion over use of Brake Light. I thought you meant Brake Light. You actually meant handbrake on and low fluid indicator Light!
 
No the brake light on the dash. Having had a rear brake failure, its the same light that comes on as when the handbrake is on.
Except of handbrake of and it comes on, usually best to prepare for impact....

This time, it was just a cable stopping the handbrake completing its final location to turn the light off.

But I should have been clearer that it was the warning light, and not the rear brake lights.
