My 90's was running gutlessly since I had it (Buckshot will vouch)
So I decided to fleebay a replacement 300tdi engine, it was out of a discovery but the mileage 'was' less than half than what the defenders original had done.
Anyway swapped them over, connected everything up over the weekend and cranked it over but it wont start!
Crank and crank and crank and won't fire, there's diesel fumes coming out of the exhaust from cranking (minimal obviously), there's fuel getting to the top of the injector lines and I've swapped the glow plugs from my truck to the replacement engine,
But there is also a slight hint of diesel wafting from the intake manifold.
Also the cambelt, which I was going to replace, looks new so we left it. But have now decided to double check the timings (tonight's plan of attack)
Failing this I'm at a total loss as to what else to try???
