Renewing bake pipes.

Hi, im renewing my brake pipes and hoses on my 96 V8i LPG Disco and was wondering what size brake pipe spanner do i need to order off fleabay, 11mm? And anything i should watch out for/hints and tips on getting the job done as smoothly as possible? Cheers.

Dunno about the spanner sizes but one tip would be to buy a few new bleed nipples ... if they're anything like my mates when we did his you'll break at least two!!!

Most metric brake pipe unions are 11mm, but a fitting with exactly the same thread can also be a 10mm head, but it's not common. If you need to hold the female union while you are gently loosening (see haynes translation or similar) it's normally a 13mm for the female.

I loosen them off with a socket first then use a ratchet spanner
