Hi,

I'm changing the transmission cooler on my RR -03 with M62 engine. I tried to "quick release" the hoses but now one of the plastic collets is broken and I really don't know how to release it. Right now I'm thinking of using the angle grinder and cut the lines that goes into the cooler. Maybe I will have more space to manually unlock the connection.

Any ideas?

Best regards. Hannes

Read my How To in the how to section as I broke my plastic collar too :D:D:D:D

Search and ye shall find, it is why I take my time to write these How To's !!!

Hi Saint,

I've read you great how to many Times before! Thank you very much. If it werent for you I would not have done this work by my self. The other day i changed the gearbox oil and filter with help from your other howto.

The internal tabs are 4 to The amount and I dont understand how I can manually Flip all four of them when Its very Hard to just Flip one at a time.

Best regards

With patience I am afraid, it can be done as I snapped the plastic collar on mine, you kind of have to hold 3 screwdrivers in one had and then do the last tab with the other...a real faff, so take yer time and try not to get to stressed...failing that you could just replace the whole pipe assembly which is added cost and more faff...

Patience, patience and more patience I am afraid!

I cut it off...

Does anyone know where I can buy the plastic collar? I Think I have seen a link to them on Amazon but cant find it.

Yep I cut it off too. If you cut the metal pipe off the old cooler you can manoeuvre the cooler pipe to get better access.
In the end, I gave up and replaced the entire pipe pipe. They're about £80

Yes thats what I did but still can't get to all four tabs and pull at the same time.

Was The entire pipe tough to change?

No one Who knows where the plastic collar can be bought?

Best regards Hannes
