i know i could bolt my tow ball to the cross member but even on the lowest setting on my ladder rack its still to heigh for trailers i tow and my ladder rack is just acting as a plough in the mud so has to go:eek:

therefore i need to come up with a plan any ideas/piccys you fancy sharing guys/girls id appreciate it:D

yu said yu werent interested .

It's not that I'm not interested it's more a case of it needs to be type approved due to the age of my landy. That makes it difficult to just sling any old thing on. The only exception I've found is that commercial vehicles are exempt from this ruling.

Did you make use of the one you had off me rats?

G

Not yet but we know what we're gonna do with it. When the tow step is completed the spacer from the one I had off you will be used to bring the tow ball forward of the winch fairlead. The top half of the mount will be getting chopped and welded to add strength to the x member and winch step, and the support struts will be used to brace/strengthen the rear lower supports. Hopefully the numbers on it will help get around the type approval issues too.

The plans are all in place I'm just waiting for the manufacturer to get up to date with his backlog.

well i removed all my height adjustable tow rack today was a right tosser to get of :p
started to draw the plates up to be plasmed should be fairly easy to make one up :D
