Adjustable tow bar rattle

Hi - Just got an 03 Disc 2 ES. The adjustable tow ball seems to be secured by one bolt and pin in the middle. When towing it pivots slightly on the pin and rattles like mad. First time I towed I thought the trailer had come off! Is this normal?

Can I drill through and add a second bolt and nut to stop the slight pivot and fix in place. Kind of removes the point of an adjustable hitch but would stop the rattle. Any thoughts welcome. (I have searched forum but couldn't find anything!)

Turn the radio up!!

My dad had the same on his D1, used two pins which cured it.

Turning the radio up (or removing the dashboard warning bulb) is my solution to most problems. Will follow bobupndown's advice and bolt it on!

Bolt it on.by it rattling means its warn to much.so get new or extra bolts
