Hi guys, had a look around, and seen a lot of Freelander rear window issues, however my window is jammed shut, it's three door 2L TDI and the glsss has gone on outside of frame,it doesn't drop that bit when I try to open the rear (boot) door, and when itry to open it from the button inside it beeps, I can hear some sort of noise inside the door, maybe the motor for the window, any advice greatfully received, thanksin advance

Sounds like the cables have failed. It's really common for one or both cables to rust through, every few years.

It is the worse bit about the Freelander 1 ours jams up or down every so often, normally take it to bits, put everything back where it should be and it is okay for 6 months or so, had a freelander when first came out and used to drive with back window open a lot but tend to leave this one closed, as much as I can but it does have to drop to open back door

Is this quite a easy fix?

Thanks again

It's not difficult, if you've done a few, but for a first timer, with minimal knowledge it's not easy.
I guess you mean electric cables of some sort ?
No mechanical cables. The windows are moved by a motor, via Bowden cables, which are replaceable.
Here's the whole drive assembly, ready to fit after the cables have been replaced.

Search on Youtube for videos showing you how to replace the cables or just buy a new regulator complete.
I've repaired a couple now and it's a pain so if you're not confident just buy one complete with motor.
