does any one know where i can get one or is it a case of having to fabricate one myself ?
loooked into the idea a bit and due to having a galv chassi i dont wanna cut and weld one in just sorta bolt one in....
would 6mm plate be enough to withstand a 12500 winch i know i will have to cut the rear crossmember for the fairlead but thats a nessasery bit the rest i was planning on bolting in some how
whats your thoughts please ???

there is a website call ws4x4 they are pretty sturdy ive got a 12,500lbs winch on the back of my trayback and its fine check out my profile pick and u can have a look see wot u think

Why start with tube then go to box :confused:
your roll cage will be no use if you go over
 
Box is very poor unfortunately people are willing to buy things that "look" like the real thing.

It still amazes me why people like things like those silly bolt on rear winch bumpers.

What you have done is make your sorted capable defender or whatever now lose one of its main attractions nobody doing comps or anyone with some sense would us that.

The only reason I could see it being any good would be for someone winching trees for work and does not need any Offroad ability. Still plenty of peoria fit them to their amazingly capable offroader only to get hung up and laughed at by the masses that know better!
 
its got cross bracing now iwas given the front part of it and id alredy build the back part and it does work cuz ive rolled it about a month ago as for wot u said ur entilted to u r opinion but on the other hand my landy wasnt in question so keep your ****ty remarks to yourself 300tdistu i was only giving an idea and bit of advise
 
Edit no really I think it's amazing maybe you could sell it in kit form and after some testing get the msa to certify it!!

The thing you drive looks like its been put together using a number of different land rovers, with a bit of tube and box section as a roll cage, built by a fooking redneck :p

Your landy looks ****ty, thusly the ****ty remarks are validated by the shoddy craftsmanship, poor choice of design and inbred owner who cant even type in proper english. I would call it the abortion of traybacks but that doesn't begin to cover the crap that you have burdened upon our eyes.

You should have your landy taken from you, your welder destroyed, workspace crushed and legislation should be put in place to stop you from ever working on another vehicle, yourself placed in a straight jacket and committed to an asylum for the mentally unstable and criminally insane. Thusly no other landrover or vehicle could ever be harmed by the ****e that is your work…..
