rear view mirror p38

hi how can i remove the rear view mirror safely without break wind screen it looks stuck tight as i need to put a new one on its auto dim thing ?

Just a sharp downward pull and it will release from the mount. Mind you don't bang the top of the dash when it releases.

is it not also glued? i dont want break wind screen just asking
