Hi

I am looking at fitting an after market rear reversing sensor kit to my D2 TD5, i need to know where on the rear bumper is the best place to locate the sensors, mine has the rear hydraulic step fitted, will this impede/interfere with the sensors. Any advice, on the best place to locate them gratefully received

...you could try a trial fitting with double sided tape or similar to see where they work best.......do the instructions not hint at where is good and bad?

Nick.

I fitted two sensors just inboard of the bumper lamps. Perfect :)

I fitted a set of aftermarket ones to my old TD5 last year when I changed the bumper.

I put a sensor in each of the protruding parts (sorry, no idea what to call them! Overiders maybe?) and the outer two just before the corner strated of the bumper. The sensor box and sounder went into the l/h space behind the small grille next to the door panel.

After a bit of trial and error, decided we didn't need the outer ones so disconnected them. Worked fine! No problem with the step either.

Mine are set up exactly the same as DualDisco except that I still have all four connected and they work great.
I have a display on the dashboard and the only issue was running the cable from rear to front as the cable had a pre fitted plug at each end but having had several sunroof leaks I am a dab hand at dropping the roof lining.
