Rear diff and propshaft

I've narrowed down my vibration to the rear drive train. I think it's the prop despite it being changed recently.

Should the motion of turning the yoke be perfectly smooth when removed? It feels like there is a 'bump' in the bearings as I twist them...i.e. not smooth. I had the props fitted and have no idea whether the mechanic greased the bearings.

Regarding the rear diff, is it normal for there to be some movement/wobble up and down/ side to side? also the flange rotates about 10-20 degrees. is this normal?

only rotation at the diff flange any play needs sorting asap,and prop uj sounds very poor should be smooth

thank you. Is a 110 and 90 rear diff the same? I will need to get a refurbed diff as rebuilding it is beyond my capabilities. Would a 2000 year TD5 have a 10 or 24 spline diff? Or should I take it out to see?

I will get a new prop as well, is there a particular manufacturer to avoid?

no different rear diffs ,it would be 24 spline diff from 94 on, oem is better than pattern from any of the wholesalers

thank you jamesmartin. one last question....is the front and rear diff the same?

On a 110 they are different.

no a 110 either has a salisbury axle or a later model has the p38 short nose diff

the pin is sheared in the rear diff. I´ll get it reconditioned and if it happens again I´ll buy a four pin diff from ashcroft
