Thanks for that Tony, I've always got round the problem by honestly saying I'm staying with my daughter on the rare occasion I've needed to visit the quack. They have never questioned my normal place of abode.
I also carry my EHIC card which is now issued by the UK not France and which also came with a letter saying i would need it for treatment in the UK. I think it's a case of the left hand not knowing wht the right hand is doing

You can receive free NHS hospital treatment if you:-
•have come to the UK to take up permanent residence, for example, if you are a former UK resident who has returned from abroad, or if you have been granted leave to enter or remain as a spouse
So by that, i'd say even if you still are broad, if you need treatment you can say 'I've just arrived back and intend to be here permanently''.

the rangie in me avatar has been sold, and it was bit of a **** box but it went alright for a toy. it werent me daily drive.could even drive up the m1 in it, unlike you. Its been outta my hands for nearly 2 years now, think its off the road, checked the reg on the isurance checking website. you can too if yer really want.Stalker.Now go get the bus to work like all the other ****ers.:welcome2:and teach on mate im happy to learn all day thanks
