Range rover front windows.

Hi guys n gals. Newbie here!
Ive had a search but kinda in need of help. My front windows will not go down from drivers door. They will if i hold unlock on key. And i can raise them from the door. After numerous searches and ripping the wiring loom out the front sills both sides (common issue on youtube) i dont have the culprit there. Does anyone have any experience? My problem child is a 2003 hse td6. Regards Gordon in Newcastle

Not crossed your mind that it might simply be the drivers door switch?

Tried that. Raises both drivers and passengers windows. American posts lead you to a loom with 3 wires spliced. Had all floor channels out cannot find it. Chasing a lepricorn around a rainbow it seems.

This is usually the main cause and or bad connections in the drivers door loom

I'd hazard bad connections in the door loom, corrosion..

I'd strip the switch and clean the board inside. Also clean the rubber mat that makes contact with it.

So now the iasue has escalated before i got to look at it. As soon as i start the rangey the front windows drop and the wing mirror rolls up and keeps trying to go up. I cannot raise the windows or move mirror down. Have to raise windows when i stop with the key fob.... anyone have a clue?

All my window switches and such are on the drivers door.

Unplug the switch pack and turn the ignition on, if it doesn't repeat the behavior then strip the pack and check there is no foreign muck in there.

I will give this a go. Love the motor but these age issues are killing my wallet haha. Nothing cheap on these beasts.
