Hi everyone, my names Darren (Big D) and after a while out of land rovers/range rovers off roading etc I have gone and done it and bought an l322 TD6 2002 model............cosmeticly worse for wear in and out.
Just collected herr today and drove 60 miles home with some heat emitting from the rear blowers everytime I hit trafic but as soon as I pulled away even this went cold due to the thermostat being open and the engine tempreture dropping ! o the fan in the front not working (final stage resistor ?) but guess what ! the heated seat worked !!!!!
She has 141,000 on the clock just ran out of test on the 22nd had new turbo and box 2 years back and drove wekk even the cruise works.
Thats the good bits over with, both rear door cards held on with cable ties and window switchs missing (in boot) dodgy after market single key with chip rattleing about inside no remote lock/unlock, passender door jammed shut wont unlock or open in or out, same side mirror dead no electrics so am guessing whoever put the door card back on left the plug off ? window not working either from door switch or the drivers door switch.
I know from E53's that you need the door switch connected so tomorrow will investigate more seems strange door will not open though ?
Air suspension has intermitent inactive message it did raise and lower when we collected it.............anything common ? I did note the front jumped up when it raised so maybe a height sensor ?
Anyway I plan on documenting my re-build and upoading.
