Rev counter suddenly stopped working in my rangey today without reason (haven't been tickering around with anything lately).

anyone no whats causing this?

it is run off the alternaoter proberly failed

No, just get the original alternator reconditioned. Not that expensive compared to a new one.

Take to a good auto electrician ask for new slip rings, bearings, brushes, rectifier and voltage regulator. That should do it.

its just a wire thats either come off the back,or come loose of the alternator.they corrode easily(wouldnt be a landy if they didnt).fit a new connector to it and it will be fine.10p fix
