Recently fitted myself my DIY snorkel ( dont judge it looks mint for a DIY jobby ) but as the snorkel top is facing forward there is a puddle forming in the airbox with all this bloody rain

Has anyone got any tips on how to avoid flooding the thing ??

Pics required before the panel can advise.

Small puddle not really a problem btw, full air box on the other hand is a big problem.

Remember you need to seal your air box so it cannot drain out also.

Cheers

I will post pictures to be judged and ridiculed soon , not going out in that rain though .

It is well and truely water tight it nearly sucked a friends glove off his hand when he tested it :D

As for the minute i have put a pre-filter off my minibike on it to see if it keeps the water out . Take it this is a regular occurence then ??

Well, obviously with a sealed air box, any kind if water down the choob will puddle in there.

However, I have a forward facing Southdown which does not have an angled front like a safari, and it's fine. Sometimes it gets a jet wash too.

Pics required basically!

so youve fitted a snorkle to enable the engine to breath if wading
but you dont wanna take it out in the rain?

Has it not occured to you to turn it round so it faces backwards...?

or has here...put a mushroom on top from some drainpipe.
