Radio buttons not working on 2002 Freelander

Hello all new to the site so hopefully this is the right place to post this.

Just bought a Freelander Commercial 2002 and just sorting out all the small issues that the previous owner didn't. One of them is that some of the buttons on the radio don't work (mode, forward and some of the preset numbers). As the mode button doesn't work this means i cant use the cd player either. Anyone know how to fix this???

Replacing the HU is the easiest fix. They're cheap and plentiful, just make sure you get the code.
