not sure stenova was serious...

I take your point tim about the galv capping not complying, but if the occupant of the house refuses to do anything, then that's about the only control measure you can put in place. likewise the pvc cable issue. They won't change it, there's nothing you can do.

There may not be much slack to fit a socket directly, but if you pare away the insulation very carefully so as not to get shock or to short the circuit you could probably get one of those junction boxes with U shaped terminals where you don't have to cut the wires to fit. Then you can add a spur and run pretty much anything you want. For good measure, see if you can find their hot water or central heating pipes and fit one of those self-boring, self-sealing taps so you can fill your bath too. In my impoverished student days I used to think about doing this all the time. Of course, I would never do something so illegal or irresponsible :angel:.

If there no reasoning with him? Can he not move it high up the wall? but then I suppose it would still have to run down the wall again. I would say it is in obstruction on a public right of way, reduces the width of the passageway and poses danger to all that use it. Drag a sofa through wearing insulated shoes and gloves and rip the cable off the wall :D

Had hoped for a few sensible answers, by not going anything go's, 2/10 seems better than getting stuck in south wales woods:D
have had reply from council "your email has been passed to **********" so at least when I is elektrofied I have a paper trail :)

True, but, you posted in general LAND ROVER chat about something completely un-Land Rover related... i think you're lucky to have got any sensible replies really :boink:
