well the rr bobtail has been stood up since the tax n mot ran out in may

put jump leads on it as the battery had gone flat started up 1st bloomin time and the 4.2 v8 burbled into life

mrs tuned round and said can we get it back on the road and go offroading again:blabla:

if only i had the time to do so but the sound of the v8 is very addictive

You can drive it to a pre-booked MOT station for a test on the same day.:doh:

Ya can still drive it to or from a MOT Station with no tax on it.. Gotta be insured though..

Yes...still could be stolen...thieves arent normally polite enough to knock on the door and ask for the current MOT certificate...

the only prob is the insurance i had in place on the rr is now in place on my buissness van and although all mt vehicles are fc i cant drive another vehicle belonging to me on any of them policys i believe

Send the log book off and put it in the wifes name, it's not yours then and your own Insurance should cover you to drive it as it is not in your name but you have the owners consent

for you to drive the rr it must have a insurance policy to cover the rr.
i've always found that my insurance allows me to drive other cars 3rd party with the owners consent and the car is insured by the owner

get temp cover for A DAY or buy a new policy,
iv just got a policy with lancaster for £264 a year on a 300tdi disco full com and told um about mods

i cancelled the insurance to use it on my van

i certainly aint gonna insure summit that needs tax/mot and i will drive once every 3 months if im lucky

thats why the rr has stood up for over 3 months i dont get time to use it
lancaster was who i was with and they now insure my van

Phone up your insurance company, ask them for a day rate so's you can the MOT done, your not the first guy to do this, also if plod gives you a tug, the insurerance company can vouch for you cos it's on their records.

When you go to a meet you can get weekly rates as well...
