Puma 2.4TDCI Gear Knob Replacement, HOW MUCH?

Hi All,

My 2008 Puma 110 has a 6 speed gear knob that has started to crack and decided to look for a replacement. According to the Google Internet Machine, its not just a simple unscrew the gear knob and choose your fancy design, but a full shaft/collar as well. Heart started to beat faster now!

On checking, looks like Transit one is a short stubby gear stick with easy changable gear knob. Why do they always complicate the frilly stuff, what was wrong with gear shaft and screw on gear knob?

Have you tried any other breakers? eBay might be more pricey due to the ease of buying so it could pay off by phoning a couple of breakers. But that’s a lot of money for a, erm, knob...

It took me longer to laminate the wood than it did to actually form it. Probably about 5 minutes on the lathe.

Decided to buy a silicone gear knob cover and Aliexpress seemed to have one, which would arrive on a slow boat from China!

Padded envelope arrived and on opening found it to be full of Nothing? What the .....? Aliexpress were quick at refund, but I'm still looking at a cracked knob! Carry on character looks at camera!
