Wow thanks so much for that. I spent longer looking for the right glue than I did actually doing the job. I'm not a natural DIY'er - I have to work hard at it but this has made the Landy look good and me feel great. I'm off to show the kids now - well as soon as I get my hand unstuck from the worktop!

Just done the main gearstick in mine. Realised the small transfer-box lever is missing its o-ring so will need to source an appropriate sized ring before I can do that one.
I used good quality double sided tape to attach the leather to the plastic clip for the main gearstick rather than mess around waiting for glue to dry. Need to redo the handbrake as well at some point but as that one will need to be glued I need to find a day where I dont need to drive the car.
Even with just the gearstick done it looks so much better already. Parts were about £15 on ebay and seem much higher quality than the original LR parts!

I think you can use thin cable ties to do the same job as the o ring
