Hi There,
I have to replace the Two Propshaft Bearings on both sides of the VCU.
as they are shot and causing a clunking sound. Is this a big job? to replace them, and what would be the steps involved. All sugestions welcome.
Thanks.

You need to:

Remove the prop (easiest as one unit) at both ends and remove from the car

Remove the two short props from each end of the VCU

Remove and replace the bearings

Replace

Have a big hammer ready! Should have it done in 60-90 minutes

""as they are shot and causing a clunking sound.""

may be clunking from vcu not the bearings whats you rear front diff mount like look there first.
i only say this as my was clunking and it was diff mount and vcu not the bearings.
bearing vibrate and whine not clunk..

Hi
replaced the diff mount last week.
Checked the vcu bearing and there is quite a bit of play in them.
I can rock thr propshaft up and down a fair amount
