I've just replaced the propshaft carrier bearings and refitted the whole thing. Lying underneath and looking down the length it looks crooked. I can shunt the VCU a little but not enough to get me a straight line. I'm wondering if this is normal. I can't really see a way to get it wrong but that doesn't mean there isn't one. Thought I would get an opinion before road testing and smashing up the drive train. I wasn't looking when I removed it so can't compare how it is now with how it was then.

VCU bearings must be 90 degrees to vehicle line. The prop and uj will take care of the misalignment.

Don't put bearings on at an angle !!

Do they look like these, as above what Andy said, VCU bearings must be 90 degrees to vehicle line.
