Hi guys, I’ve had an epic fail with the front prop shaft. I knew it needed some love, but work didn’t permit. Well, it broke. Bought a replacement- pattern part and fitted it. It sounds awful- like a bag of spanners. Is it incorrectly phased? I didn’t change spline alignment from out of the box. But the old one was in two pieces and ****ed about with so can’t reference it. Anyone got a picture of correct set up for a disco 2?

Thanks in advance,

Matt

Self-resolved. Take care when buying pattern parts. Unit supplied was sent out from the factory 90 degrees out of phase. Or, as we say in our house - set up to fail immediately.

Hope you got one with grease points on the front joint.
Yup, got the grease nipple, though not much use as a prop shaft fitted at 90 degrees to design forces the articulation to work against itself and break the weakest point- the join in the cardan between the two spicers. Waiting for the vendor to get back to me as what I have is as much use as what I'm replacing...
