P38A Front prop shaft question

Hi hive mind,

I know there must be a formula for this kind of thing and I’m sure one of you fine folks will know.

I’m trying to remove my front prop shaft and I’m having a bugger of a job.

I do have the propshaft tool and I do have a handy pair of 9/16” hex spanner’s but the nuts are putting up a fair bit of resistance and are prone to chewing up.

Access is also quite tight so I was wondering how far the front wheels would need to travel for the prop shaft to make half a revolution ?

This would allow me to get the remaining tricksy top-most bolts.

The car is up on wheel ramps so I can’t freely rotate the wheels -and the VC is screwed so even if they were off the ground I’d still be shafted !

Does anyone have an idea or will it just be a case of trial and error ?

With a seized viscous, transfer box neutral will not help, one front and one rear wheel will need to be off the ground.

Of course, now I have thought about it, you are right:).
Neutral would only disconnect drive between gearbox and TB, not wheels front and back:oops:.

Prop shaft is staying put. I’ll just need to get it to the garage somehow.
Still awaiting parts (and cash !) so no great rush. Frustrating though.
