Hats off to you for devoting your time to something practical, rather than spending all day in front of that daft box with moving pictures... Gotta be good for your back - keeping moving .... I know I have to - even with physio and Osteo most weeks (
) .... still need to keep moving or I seize up .....
And.... regarding the cable ties .... yep, me too.....
Properly fused is a fine idea too --- years ago we had a fire on a digger caused by no fuses - it took the batteries out, the alternator out, the heater plug out ..... and the throttle stepper motor too!!! .... I spent a week re-wiring the thing, and guess what .... it's now got a fuse box

Does it ever go anywhere though, it’s always in bitsThread watched, it's about time!
I think you're gonna have one of the most sorted, well maintained D3s in the country

Only having a joke with youThe only time it was off the road was when I done my suspension , apart from that I plan ahead as much as a can and do the work over a few days so can still use it , must admit I haven’t been able to do much since Xmas but feel I’m slowly being able to do little bits at a time without pushing my luck with my back
Plus u know u like the threads really , lol

Pick brains time please and I never mind admitting when I’ve dropped a clanger
The combined 3.5mm / usb socket in that lower panel
It has premade plugs on the back, will cut the 3.5mm one off and connect it properly into the terminal connector on the back of my radio for an AUX supply
Will also cut off the usb connector plug off and was going to run that to my switched 12v supply , however I need to drop it to 5v , because it will be too much for charging phones etc
Won’t need the data cables just the pos and neg
Been looking at voltage step down boxes but can’t find any and wondering if anyone knows some please
Apologises for the daft questions but seeing I’m so good at asking them it seems a shame to break the habit, snigger
Thks

I've got less than no idea about all this caper, but could you cannibalise one of these?

so assume there’s a circuit board inside then that drops the voltage
That was my caveman logic towards it!
