Presurizing Top Hose - Anyone in s.e or kent??

hi all, im still having problems, or at least i think i am

i think my top hose is hard, or harder than normal but i dont have anything to compare it too.

it originally started off with a problem of white smoke on start up then getting harder to start in morning and using water, but never ever has my temperature gauuge gone above normal operating temps.

so i whipped off the heads, done the head gaskets and put back together which cured the problems all together, great!

but then a month or so later i felt the top hose and it felt really firm, so ive now tried re bleeding etc etc, took the rad out flushed it through, flushed the rest of the system, checked the thermostat and pressurized the system and all is well.

now my vehicle never ever overheats nor does the temerature gage mve above normal, but im sure that the top hose is firmer than it should be.

ive currently got the car off the road to do a few jobs on it so would like to get to the bottom of this.

i was wondering if anyone lives in s.e london or near dartford etc or in kent, that i could meet up and errr... feel ur hose :doh: lol

but i just want to see if its in my mind or a possible slipped liner

i dont think advertising to feel a fella's hose is wise, it opens up a raft of problems and attracts all manner of wierdos!!!!
