Power steering freelander v6

hi there,

i have an x reg v6 and noticed the power steering fluid is low. I have lost the manual and wondered what steering fluid i need to buy. I'm guessing it goes in the tank with the steering wheel on top.
I dont have a main dealer near me so a generic fluid (halfords etc) would be great (and cheaper).

The haynes manual says to use ATF (Automatic transmission fluid) to Dexron IID or III specification

and does that going in the tank marked with the steering wheel?

yellow cap then yeah.Comma Automatic Transmission Fluid 5L from Halfords Price £23.99 christ on a bike im never gonna use halfords website agin!

forgive me for being slow here but is steering and transmission fluid the same thing?
