Poorly chassis...

My chassis has some holes each side of the chassis where it starts to bend upwards at the rear and where the trailing arm brackets are welded on. Local garage wanted £500 so I'm hoping to get a welding friend of mine to do it one weekend.

Definitely on one side, maybe both will need the trailing arm bracket cut off, chassis repaired and then the bracket welded back on. Local Landy garage said he can supply new brackets.

What thickness steel do I need?

I always use 2.5mm

Quality repair work though, that would cost shed loads at a garage.

Unfortunately I had to do all four corners so I couldn't afford for a garage to do it. Should have tried harder at school....
