Just a tip on the oil pump bolt, make sure you can remove the crossmember bolts before you do anything else, like drain the oil. I managed 3 of the 8 bolts, the rest are fubar'd.

You were warned....................before hand.....LOL............:p:p, have you not done that little job yet?

Cheers

I notice an advisory on the MOT from 2015 says front bumper damage ? Does that purple tape cover that ?

Yes mate, your all welcome ;)
Asking my dad for the use of the pit is like asking him to raise the titanic!! Major operation and I'm the only one to ever use it!

Hi ER1C,
No the bumper has a area of approx 2" by 3" of plastic missing near the r/h/s/ headlight spray, which is also missing!

I believe the purple tape is in remeberance and a show of support for a young lady around this way, Coalville, who was groomed then murdered! Every one who was bothered placed a small purple ribbon/token on their property/vehicle in a show of solidarity well, thats the only reason I believe its there for anyway??

Less than a week into ownership of the Green Goddess I have attended to a few of the issues she had and made some minor improvements!

1- Replaced broken Dvr mirror for £20, bargin!
2- Replaced handbrake gator, much nicer!
3- Headlight and side light upgraded, whiter light!
4- Fitted 4x "Land Rover" wheel hubs, no nasty holes!
5- Replaced 18 year old speakers with 4x FLi's, massive sound differance!
6- New stereo to complement new speakers!
7- Fitted 4x window wind deflectors, can crack the windows at speed now! (no air-con)

Jobs I am looking to doing;

1- Look in more into the EGR replacement?
2- Check prop-shaft for grease nipples?
3- Check if oil-pump bolt lock tighted in position?
4- ECU remap? :D Needs ripping out, 99 model
5- Investigate electric noise on start up from rear of vehicle, fuel pump??
6- Why are front fog lights connected to the main beam??
7- Clean underneeth and apply wax oil
8- Investigate M S D flashing error, cleared it by reversing but, happend after selecting 1-2-3 on my auto box??
9- Fix chip on window, might get gavin to use his special resin :p
10- Fix broken/cracked bumper
11- Deep clean through out, was a horsey car by the looks of it o_O lol...

Thats all i can think of for now lol have to do it now ive written it down ;)

Thank you everybody who provided invaluable advice which has allowed me (hopefully) to make a more informed decision!

Hoping to continue my Disco journey and be a active member on here posting updates and obviously inevitable issues as and when time allows.

Cheers
