a range rover is 95 percent bmw so dont moan.

most of the engine and electrical's are off the X5.

and bmw's are just as troublesome. :D

All comms goes to 20 on the drop down..... You have to make adjustments for the larger rim size......

So select 20 on the drop down list then for each measurement you take subtract 13 (or 26 can't remember which)(the difference between rims 20 to 22) so if your measurement is 840 sub 13 (or 26) = 827 (or814) and input that......

Read the how to instructions in the all Comms and it will tell you how much to subtract.

Final heights once calibration done....

Thanks for replies but problem ive got is my measurements are 860mm which is 20mm higher than allowed input so if i put the 840mm in like storey wilsons video suggests its like i wanna raise suspension so i need measurements to be about 800mm so i can lie an put 840mm to get suspension down. As i wrote cos the car is gettin higher it thinks its in off road mode wen indicator says level ! Now system has failed is that a hard fault due to calibration being all over the place ??? How can i get it down to calibrate properly bearing in mind we calibration starts an car raises to 860mm which is way to high to start with???

The car should raise to a height, higher than any other height, higher than the off road I think

This calibration height is factory programmed and should stay the same even if your heights have got mucked up

When you press get heights it should raise to this factory height that should be well within the limits of the measurements

It doesnt give the option of get heights just boxes to type heights in ? ? Shall i take it to somewhere that has a really good computer to let them try it

Booked in at another garage with T4 testbook computer

hmmmmm - odd one.

The system rises to a 'known' sensor reading preset in the ECU....

You then measure the physical height of the car....

The system then auto calculates using extrapolation to determine the correct sensor readings for the different ride heights....

if yours is rising beyond the usual level during calibration - could be the height sensors in the wrong place and hence when the car rises to the preset ECU calibration height - lets say the ECU wants all sensors to read 120, if the sensor is in the wrong place that reading of 120 will place the height of the offending corner(s) to high or low....

Get a T4 to check it out.....

Yeah its booked in for next thursday saintv8 on the t4. Height sensors cant be in wrong place they only fit one way on rears an front are sided too ???
Thats what I thought - which is why I am a little confused like yourself...

lets see what the T4 can do...pity you ain't closer like Hippo says....I have calibrated 3 other L322's on my All Comms with no issues!!

It don't sound like a calibration problem to me, The last one I did that was way high at the front and wouldn't go down was a wiring fault.
