I was lookin out te window today and a flat bed transit turns up wiv a crane on the back, the passenger clocks my landy and they park up and go and ave a look at it. One of em points to the spare on the back and they both walk around it twice before going.
There is no reason to come up my road as i live in dead end on an aerodrome. Its parked in my allocated parkin space which i rent so i cant drill an anchor point in the floor.
But i did take there reg number.
I got a feeling its gonna get nicked.
Any suggestions as to what i can do to stop it or am i wasting me time.

What you should have done is go straight outside with camera and take a photo of them and their wagon, ask them what do they want? you won't see them again!

Is your flat/house far from the parking space? Can you direct a PIR spotlamp on the area?

Can you chain the front and rear wheels together to stop it being towed, trouble is if they want it they will get it and the police are so scared of them they wont be much help, number plates might be false of if they are not then there slipping, had a transit pick up near my vehicle one day and the plates were of a John Deere tractor.

Chain the wheels so it cant be moved without lifting the whole vehicle, i have one bolt on each propshaft joint welded so they cant remove the props to tow it

Buy a hi power air rifle with laser sight and shoot them, thats what i done when 'do as you likeys' tryed to nick my Yamaha R1!
Did one of them have part of his left ear missing?? (was aiming for the eye!!)

That's my favourite option. The ****s won't come back if they think pain might be involved. A large vicious dog is a good deterrent too.

As well as all other security measures, stick a big, clear sign in the window saying "I saw you checking this vehicle out (date & time) and you are being watched and recorded on CCTV now"

Good idea, but can they read? My pikey ex neighbours couldn't. Makes you wonder how they managed to get driving licences.

If you see them again, get a photo or a video. They HATE that.

Yep, s'what I did when the bastids were hanging around H.L in a sus manner, I stood and took pics of them and their van and told em to bugger off, then I rigged up the webcam and put a sign in the window just in case... seemed to do the trick, although maybe it was the effect of being told where to go by a don't-give-a-**** munchkin ;)

The best thing to do is dont upset them , you upset one, you upset a hundred ,they will allways get their own back. Tony Martin made a mistake when he shot one of the two didds breaking into his house, and that was He missed the other one !

Fit a disclock steering lock and park yer landy with the steering on full lock. That'll help prevent it getting winched up the truck or driven/towed away. Put a load of 25l drums filled with water in the back too. Most 7.5 ton lorries fitted with hi-abs can't lift a laden landrover. I know they can take the cans out but anything that will slow em down will give you half a chance.;)
