anyone in the beds/northants area interested in off roading/working on off roaders, i have a workshop and my own off roaders but am seriously lacking enthusiasm at the mo, wondered if anyone local who had some time on there hands was interested in helping out in return for days out off roading and poss the use of my workshop, no money involved, more a ....you help me i help you kinda situation.

My son and I are both keen... we work on our own disco and the shogun - he is ten years old and does most of the mechanics on both (completed the CV joint replacement on the shogun on tuesday evening - does the wheel bearing on each vehicle every six weeks - replaced the timing belt on the V6 etc..etc).

I have just bought him a mig welder and he is learning to use that even as I type this!

We'd both be really interested in taking part/joining in on a project and using your facilities in our rebuild of Kai's 109 series III.

So, let me get this right...

You want someone to fix your motor for you in your absence with nothing in return other than a day out off roading (err... most of us on here have 4x4's - ok, gaylanders excepted!) or possibly the use of your workshop...

Bit like dropping your car off at the garage and when you pick it up repaired offering possible use of your wifes orifaces for payment.

I'll help anyone out fixing their motors, even if they're completely clueless - but they will be present and will be supplying me with tea and passing tools etc!

Tea and tools go hand in hand with a workshop-but i wont be passing them, i will be under the motor using and drinking them !!!!!!!

If you think this sounds sarcastic thats because it is, it is a genuine offer to people who would appreciate days out, the use of trailers and towing vehicles, use of an off roader, fully kitted workshop etc, not for NUMPTIES who have nothing better to do than read things into posts that simply do not exist !!!!

alot of peeps on ere have offroaders already.. and i reckon quite a few have their own workshops anorl, if you had offered beer tokens and not been so up your own arse about offerin peeps on ere what they already have as if you were doin em a favour you would of got a better response as it happens post number 2 has offered you help.. so PM him and dont start a popcorn fred, Ive eaten too much already today. :)

For the record post no2 has been replied to via pm as the op requested !

i appreciate lots of people already have off roaders on here and am sure some have workshops...but i doubt this is everyone

so if you think i am going to pay people to use my workshop you best think again, i fail to see how....... a help for help offer.... can be constituted as been up my own arse !!!!
those that have a workshop or off roader have no need to reply do they, it was an offer to those that dont have the facilities and may want to join forces for the benefit of all concerned !

Peeps who have their own workshop wont need yours no.. but also the peeps who dont have workshops may not want to use yours on the understandin that they can use it if they help you out. :)

Thats fine with me, i will not force anyone to use it, it was just an offer of help for help, thought it may be usefull to some people but in hindsight it does look as though i was wrong.

I have always worked on the basis if someone does me a good turn i will do my damndest to return the favour, my apologies if this does not suit others.

lol, electrics aint my strong point, niether is love making but i will have a go at both !!

bloody p38's eh, i also run one and constantly working on it, gotta do blend motor and rear diff next, then central locking and drivers door lock, oh and heater matrix o rings when doing the blend motor :doh:

Been watching the thread on the rangie forum about the new fault finding software with interest, thats my next buy i reckon !
