lot of bollox spoke about whats green in this world these days - mostly by overpaid media tarts, if you ever come across people who have a bit of nous with regards to these things then you'll find em a lot easier to get on with.
they have clever ideas like keeping equipment running for as long as poss, running em on alternate fuels and generally using horses for courses - sound familiar to us here?

my mate got a £80 fine for disturbing the peace, he answer " for that price ill hit him again"

The last person I (allegidly) hit, they stuck breach of the peace on me (couldn't prove ABH) and it cost me £1007!!!!!:eek:

So if you're going to spank someone, a) make sure there are no witnesess, b) deny EVERYTHING!!!

don't try to help the police, they'll only stitch you up! :mad2::mad2::mad2:

/back on topic now gents/

my landy is used for transporting all my firewood too. Like yourself I have a back boiler to provide all my hot water and central heating. I have a nice economical family car which the missus uses as the daily driver. The landy is used for collecting wood, towing, offroading, load lugging, winter/adverse weather, work etc. If the anti's don't like it thats tough.

Maybe Greenpeace should check how much fuel their ship uses in a trip in relation to my landy. Bunch of hippo-critical arse bandits.
Dint the french blow it up?Thats not very eco sound is it?

Bloody good idea though

I think people who don't like 4x4's have never driven one or had a ride in one. Even my 88 year old mum in law thinks the Disco is great as it's easier for her to get into, carries anything she wants to buy and gives her a better view when travelling.

As for the eco side, I'm sure many more people would actively get involved if a) the messsage wasn't rammed down their throat every 5 minutes by a bunch of pious do-gooders, b) was affordable, c) the alternatives actually made sense.

So many of the so called green replacements have too many unanswered questions about their viability to be worth considering.

Wiltshire constabulary used to have a Honda electric police car 9don't know if they still have it or not but I haven't seen it for a couple of years). Everytime I attended an RTA where it was present I had to jump start it after loading up the casualty vehicles. It was one of these.....

The lexus hybrid 4x4 is another one that suffers from flat battery problems. If you turn off the electric engine but leave the key in the ignition it drains all the power. The number of peole I have gone out to who have stopped for picnics or to enjoy views etc and then it wont start is unreal. I can really see the advantage of having a leccy car that needs a 10mpg truck following it around to keep jump starting it.

mines is just for being cool and being a landy

had slight disagreement with hippy on push bike. on the 5038 out of liverpool.said i nearly knocked him off his bike with the 110.asked him why he wasnt using the very empty two lane cycle path that cost hundreds of thousands of pounds to build.that would make a very welcome third lane.he just told me to f off and mind my own business.needless to say everytime the traffic stopped i put the nearside wheels in the gutter so the prick couldnt cycle past and he was still to thick to use the cycle path

You gotta admit though, some people do give 4X4s a bad name: Me and the Mrs have got a couple of ‘hairy arsed hay burners’ stabled in the wilds of Essex and the little village just up the road from where we have the horses has a primary school...It seem that every Oumpa Lumpa fake tanned, Ugh booted, yummy mummy has a Porsche or a Cayenne or a BMW X5. Problem is that none of them know how to drive them properly, or worse still how to park them! They block the main access road to our stable for two hours a day while conducting their social life on their mobiles and waiting for their sprogs.
Well now they must be afraid...very afraid. I have been missing my own 4x4 for the past five years...my last was an ancient and very tin-wormy Shogun...now I’ve got me 94 Disco so they’d better watch their paintwork he he!

Where i live we have what we call seacoal coal washed onshore from undersea exposed coal seams this is collected by pikeys with landys so when i squease into a bay in tesco an come out half an hour later i have loads of space right round me motor great!
:confused:But,but, but....pikeys dont drive Landys{'cept the ones they nick to break:mad:]they drive slitty double cabs [brand new.........on the 'profits' from br......Oops better not say more?]
