Parking sensors

Please help! i have a l322 range rover with noisey parking sensors. When i select reverse it makes a long beep! and the after that beeps all the time even when i am driving. It doesn't go off untill i switch the engine off. Any feedback would be great thanks.

Saying any feedback would be great here is asking for trouble LOL

As a quick solution I'd disconnect it.
To solve the problem however I'd suspect dodgy wiring, posibly at the reversing switch.
Download Rave an check over the electrics bit'l help so you know what yer lookin for.

Had one in like this last week,after checking the rear sensors on live data via Testbook I concluded the park distance ecu was shot.It was,they are about £80 + Vat retail from LR.

wouldnt it be cheaper and more effective to buy a cheap reversing sensor kit off fleabay?

Or maybe start using your eyes?

proberly not,the PDC ECU is £80 + Vat retail from LR.

Hi Duff,
I assume you have pressed the parking sensor cancel button on the dash to no avail. Once you get over 10mph they should self cancel. I had 2 on the rear fail, you can usually tell because the face of the sensor is wrinkled where they have corroded. Mine used to bleat all the time if wet, which in this country is everyday. Easy to replace.
