decided to change manual seats to electric in my 96 p38, chap said just plug em in and bolt em up, pluged in two leads that were there, seats dont move, noticed a socket on the underside at the back of the seats would there be a plug and loom hidden under carpet or somwere, or do u have to buy a seperate plug in loom, or can u not fit electric seats to this model, please help me as i have had to put a cushion behind me as i cant reach the pedals

If you have Hi Line BECM then it can be done you would need the loom and maybe the feature would need to be enabled, if you have a Lo Line BECM you have a problem, you would have to rig up your own electrics.
What model and engine?

read the number on it some los have been uprated to high as a matter of course when becm was replaced as it save carrying to parts

There will be either a large(ish) "H" or "L" on the label. If the info has faded, the only other way is to have a look at the upper power board Mosfets. The "H" has more than the "L" to power the additional circuits.
The chances are yours is a "L" unless it's been changed at some time.
They did away with the "L" in later years and only fitted the "H" as standard.
You will need the harness from the seat ecu to the Becm with a green connector on.
The seats when connected are "Plug & Play" and do not need enabling in the Becm. You will not have the exterior mirror memory function though.
