Hi, looking for a bit of assistance here if possible.
I was driving on the motorway when I first felt some serious vibrations and then a bang as the front prop snapped, hit the road and snapped off completely.
I got the car off the road to have a quick look and saw there were no leaks or other obvious damage but the auto selector had jumped out of sync and I could no longer select neutral or park. I drove the car to the services and rather than risk it, had it recovered home.
I've bought another prop which is an easy enough job to change but I'm not sure why the gear selector would have moved unless the gearbox moved or was damaged at the time.
Any ideas chaps?

All the best, John.

the selector cable and xyz switch are on that side ,cable is mounted using pinch bolt on cable and bracket near flange of prop cable probably been moved in clamp or bracket bent

i done a few where its smashed auto casing,if your unsure undo nut holding lever to shaft and with small spanner or better adjustable click shaft round clockwise as far as possible last click is park and reset cable there with lever in cab there too
