i have a 1995/7 P38 and the oil idicator light flickers although the oil level is OK, the switch has been changed but has made no difference. Can anyone hopefully help .

The Oil Light indicates low pressure not low level...although low oil could result in low pressure.
If you have replaced the pressure sensor and the oil is topped up, I would consider the oil pump or an electrical problem - possibly a dodgey earth path.
That being said the Oil Light I believe is controlled by the all-seeing-all-knowing BeCM, so check the connections to that too.

best thing to do is put a oil pressure test gauge on it and see what it reads, if it is low oil pressure a new oil pump front cover is in order !
