What have I done wrong ? I've just replaced my water pump, and fitted drive belt, rangie was starting & running fine except for knacked pump.. come to start rangie and there is nothing happening, can't hear starter motor engaging but battery is fine, tried jump leads suspecting battery but nothing different happened. I thinks it electrical ? got new message now on dash gearbox fault ! I haven't touched the gearbox ( weird) is there a fuse that could have blown or have a caught a wire somewhere when replacing water pump /

total mystery please help !

have a look for anything that has got moved or damaged, check wires to alternator are on and tight, also check its in park or neutral as it wont start in any other gear.

check the plugs on top of the engine slightly to the passenger side cos if one of those is off it wont start either!!!

thanks i will look tomorrow, is the sensor located under the water poump housing on a connecting block.

Cheers stu!
